Day Four… Que lo que!

Hey everyone!

I am alive and well and here in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. I got paired up with my host family last night and they seem amazing. We sat on the porch for a few hours and drank Bruhma (sp?), a local light beer, and chatted. I think I’m going to like them. We’re 3 days into training and it is long but bearable, and some of the information is really good. We are definitely being a bit babied for the first few days but its getting progressively better, so I think the system isn’t bad.

The other volunteers are super nice and its been amazing getting to know them. I was a bit worried about having a lot of differences from them but so far it has been a blessing being able to talk with them. Very open too, since we’re all in the same boat.

Back to training.

Much Love,
J$

Thanks for the update Josh … I’m sure you’ll be fast friends with all you meet. I hope someone baked you a cake for your birthday today or at least had a twinkie on hand. We’re so proud of you and look forward to your next entry.
    Love from Cali
